MTV will Aged 30 Years




MTV will turn 30 years old in a few days. Their first broadcast which falls on 1 August 1981 the first music video earlier showing of The Buggles titled "Video Killed The Radio Star," as quoted from RollingStone.com.

This week, VH1 will commemorate the anniversary of the MTV re-broadcast by broadcasting early MTV era of the 1980s and the first event to be broadcast next Saturday at 6 am.

Previous anniversary MTV's 20th was celebrated with a big party in New York, but a celebration of the 30 as yet unconfirmed.

The first MTV VJ Mark Goodman, said that MTV embarrassed to admit aging itself. "MTV does not want people thinking that they were already old-fashioned station. People who watch MTV now it has not been born at the launch of MTV used to be. Of strange celebrate the birthday of a TV station that was older than the audience," explains Goodman.

MTV network now has changed the content of the show along with the new generation of viewers who prefer the drama of reality shows than music videos to watch singers or bands prominent.

Changes in the initial events like TRL (Total Request Live) artist interviews and coverage of the reality show like the Jersey Shore, The Osbournes and The Hills are caused by the changing times and today's youth are not interested anymore to watch music videos.
