Disturbed blame the decline of metal and hard rock music in the world music industry as the culprit of the cause of "dissolution" until such time that they could not be ascertained.
Vocalist David Draiman tells Billboard.com that, "The music industry is undergoing reform, and will soon collapse. In my opinion, this is a scary. And after twelve years of touring this is a good time for Disturbed to go temporarily from the world of music and waiting for the revival of the music industry. "
Draiman Disturbed argue that the cause of the dissolution because there are internal conflicts within their band. Initially when it announced that they would disband last week he really had said there was "an internal matter."
