Responses Incubus Concert They boycotting SMS Problem in the Philippines

Last week, an SMS containing a call to boycott the alternative rock band from the United States, Incubus, to do a show in the Philippines in late July was spread across the country. As reported by ABS-CBN, the message was underlined name of Incubus that has some negative meanings.
"PRAYER ALERT! A rock band called Incubus will come and perform at the Araneta Coliseum on July 28. We must pray this group did not set foot on Philippine soil so that they can not transmit their souls to our youth," the text message reads.
Then it informs the sender of the SMS definition of the word incubus. "1. Satan is a man who trusted people like to rest on the bed to copulate with them; 2. A dream situation is dire; 3. Someone who is depressed or worried about someone else, "he wrote, and then cover it with SMS," PRAY! May God protect us all. "
Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger, who was recently interviewed by RollingStone.com admitted unconscious with a message. "I heard people worry we will bring the devil into the holy land of music there. In a certain way, it is a reverence and I responded with a sense of humor, "he said.
However, Einziger deplore the message becomes humorous because with regard to religious fanaticism. According to him it is part of a larger problem that may impact on a global scale. "Which religion ekstermisme is rampant," he added.
"I'm sorry for them. I am glad that I am not them, "he said again. "Because if they actually took the time to listen to our music anywhere, or talk to one of us had any, they could see that we actually peace advocates, environmental activists and supporters of social justice."
Two days before appearing in the Philippines, which is dated July 26, 2011, Incubus had been scheduled to appear in Senayan, Jakarta.
